A summary and maps of the new bus timetables serving Peebles town, Peebles to West Linton and Peebles to Biggar from 12 May 2025.

SERVICE 90 - PEEBLES TOWN BUS
The new Peebles Town Service replaces the current services 90a and 90b. It will run Monday - Saturday (not 25, 26 Dec or 1, 2 January). The new service introduces eight additional journeys per day across Peebles Town Centre and is split into three route sections within the town:
Eastgate - Witchwood Cresc - Edderston Rd - Hamilton View - Eastgate
Eastgate - Hay Lodge Hospital - Rosetta Rd - Kingsland Sq - Tesco - Eastgate
Eastgate - Kittlegairy & Whitehaugh - Kingsway - Witchwood Cresc - Eastgate
Key features include:
Departures from Peebles Eastgate connecting with Borders Buses X62 and Scottish Borders Council's services 91 and 93.
Simplified fare structure allowing travel across town on a single fare.
Earlier start time at 08:15.
Additional afternoon journeys at 16:15 and 16:45.
Hamilton View will be served six times per day.
SERVICE 93 - PEEBLES / WEST LINTON / PEEBLES
The revised Service 91 timetable introduces four journeys per day between Peebles and West Linton, with a later departure from Peebles at 17:45.
It will run Monday - Saturday (not 25, 26 Dec or 1, 2 January). Outwith built-up areas, this service operates on a Hail & Ride basis - wait in any safe location and flag the bus down as it approaches to board the service.
Peebles - Lyne Station - Blyth Bridge - Romanno Bridge - West Linton
West Linton - Romanno Bridge - Blyth Bridge - Lyne Station - Peebles
SERVICE 91 - PEEBLES / BIGGAR / PEEBLES
Service 91 runs Monday - Saturday (not 25, 26 Dec or 1, 2 January).
Outwith built-up areas, this service operates on a Hail & Ride basis - wait in any safe location and flag the bus down as it approaches to board the service.
The revised timetable introduces four journeys per day between Peebles and Biggar from Monday to Saturday. The service will no longer serve Peebles High School, and entitled pupils will be allocated to existing school contracts. SBC Passenger Transport will communicate new travel arrangements with pupils in advance of the changes on May 12.
Peebles - Lyne Station - Stobo - Drumelzier - Broughton - Skirling - Biggar
Biggar - Skirling - Broughton - Drumelzier - Stobo - Lyne Station - Peebles
TICKETS
From May 12, all tickets can be purchased on SBC’s bus services. Tickets previously acquired through the Borders Buses mobile app, as well as on-bus tickets, will be accepted on services 90, 91, and 93. SBC service will accept card payments as well as cash.
FEEDBACK
The Council will collaborate with Borders Buses to ensure a smooth transition and will monitor the changes, gathering feedback for 12 weeks following implementation. Minor adjustments may be made as necessary.
